Valentine’s Day 2027 falls on Sunday, February 14, one of the busiest days of the year in our studios. Here is how we suggest planning it: when to order, why prices change, which roses to choose and what happens between checkout and the doorbell.
When to order Valentine’s Day flowers
The short answer is early. Demand peaks on February 14, so we recommend planning ahead instead of waiting for the morning of. There are three ways to do it.
- Set a reminder or book ahead. On our romantic flowers page, you can leave your email or phone for a free reminder a week before February 14. Until about six weeks before the day, the same page also lets you book your Valentine’s flowers in advance.
- Order for February 14 today. Our shop takes orders online 24/7 for any date ahead, so you can place the order tonight and choose Sunday, February 14 at checkout.
- Last minute. Our same-day flower delivery follows one rule: order by 12 PM Los Angeles time and the bouquet arrives that day. After noon, the earliest delivery is the next day, which on Valentine’s means Monday the 15th.
Why Valentine’s flowers cost more
Prices on Valentine’s Day are higher than the rest of the year, and we would rather say so up front. Our suppliers raise their prices for the holiday, and our prices follow. The same thing happens around Mother’s Day.
If you have a set budget, tell us. Our florists can build a custom bouquet around your budget and the mood you have in mind. Write it in the order note or call us at (323) 800-8421.
Red roses and other Valentine’s ideas
Red roses say it without words. These are the red rose bouquets we reach for first:
- Dozen Scarlet Roses: twelve red roses, the classic. From $115 on a regular day.
- 2 Dozen Scarlet Roses: twice the volume, from $160.
- Red Velvet 24 st: 24 red roses, from $170.
- 50 roses or 100 roses: the grand gesture, for when a dozen feels too modest.
The prices above are everyday starting prices. For February 14 they are higher, for the reason explained above.

Not set on red? Pink roses read softer and more tender, and colors can be adjusted on request in the order note. Browse the full Valentine’s Day collection or every bouquet in our red roses category.

Delivery windows on Sunday, February 14
We deliver seven days a week, so a Sunday Valentine’s is a regular delivery day for us. Pick the window that fits your plans:
- 11 AM – 3 PM for a midday surprise.
- 3 – 7 PM for the afternoon, before evening plans.
- 6 – 9 PM for flowers that arrive right before a dinner at home.
- After 9 PM at no extra charge. Just add it to the order note.
- Morning from 7 AM for orders placed the day before or earlier, so order by Saturday, February 13 if you want flowers at breakfast.
Need an exact time? Tell us in the order note. We do our best and ask you to allow ±30 minutes.
The delivery fee depends on the ZIP code: free to 76 ZIP codes near our four studios, $14 up to about 15 miles and $29 for long range. You see the exact fee at checkout, and our page on delivery areas, fees and times has the details.
Surprises, anonymous gifts and hotel deliveries
A few details in the order help the bouquet land exactly as you planned:
- Anonymous. Tick “Send anonymously” at checkout.
- Surprise. We contact only you, the sender, and follow your instructions.
- Card. The personal card note is free. A few honest lines in your own words go a long way.
- Hotel. Add the guest’s full name as it appears on the reservation and the arrival date. We call the front desk ahead.
- Apartment. We arrange with the recipient how to get in. If it’s a surprise, put the access instructions in the order note and we will follow them.
- Nobody home. We contact the recipient in advance. At a house with no instructions, we leave the flowers at the door in a safe, shaded place.
What to expect on the day and after
Before delivery, we send you a photo of the bouquet by email or SMS, so you see exactly what is arriving.
Our flowers usually look their best for 5–10 days. Share these steps with the recipient:
- Trim the stems at an angle every couple of days.
- Change the water regularly.
- Keep the vase out of direct sunlight.
- Keep it away from ripening fruit.
Valentine’s Day rewards the early planner. Set a reminder or book your bouquet on our romantic flowers page, or call us at (323) 800-8421 and our florists will help you choose.
