Key takeaways

  • Order by 12 PM Los Angeles time for same-day delivery; orders placed after noon go out the next day.
  • Your order goes to whichever of our four studios is nearest the recipient or has the freshest flowers that day, and our florists make it by hand on the day it goes out.
  • Before your flowers leave the studio, we send you a photo of the finished bouquet by email or SMS.
  • Our flowers usually look their best for 5–10 days; trim the stems at an angle every couple of days and change the water regularly.

Every TheFlow bouquet starts as a few clicks and ends as fresh flowers at someone’s door. Here is what happens in between, from the studio and the florist to the photo and the drive, so you know exactly what you’re sending and when it will arrive.

Step 1: You choose the bouquet, the date and the window

Our e-shop is open 24/7, so you can order tonight for any date ahead. For same-day delivery, order by 12 PM Los Angeles time. Orders placed after noon go out the next day.

At checkout, you pick a delivery window. All three run seven days a week:

  • 11 AM–3 PM
  • 3–7 PM
  • 6–9 PM

Need a different time? Delivery after 9 PM costs nothing extra. Just add it to the order note. Morning delivery from 7 AM is available for next-day and later orders. If you need an exact time, tell us. We do our best, and we ask you to allow ±30 minutes.

This is also where you write the card. The personal note is free, and the “Send anonymously” checkbox keeps your name off the gift. A quick note on pricing: prices are higher around Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day, because our suppliers raise theirs.

Step 2: Your order goes to one of our four studios

TheFlow has four studios around Los Angeles. We send each bouquet from the one nearest the recipient, or from the one with the freshest flowers that day:

  • West Hollywood: 1040 N Gardner St
  • Downtown LA: 1001 S Olive St, Ste 339
  • Mar Vista: 12632 Matteson Ave
  • Beverly Hills: 9629 Brighton Way #202

With four studios, many addresses sit close to one of them. The delivery fee depends on the ZIP code: free to 76 ZIP codes near our studios, $14 up to about 15 miles, and $29 for long-range addresses. You’ll see the exact fee at checkout. Every area is listed on our delivery areas, fees and times page.

Step 3: A florist makes it by hand on delivery day

Anita Dudutite founded TheFlow in 2021. She trained at the California School of Floral Design and has more than eight years of experience as a floral designer. Today our florists make every order by hand on the day it goes out.

Want something a little different? We can adjust the colors on request. Our florists can also build a custom bouquet around your budget or the mood you have in mind. Leave a note with your order, or call us at (323) 800-8421.

Arrangements like the one in the video live in our flowers in a vase collection. They arrive already arranged, so there’s no need to hunt for a vase. Prefer a wrapped, hand-tied bouquet? Browse all bouquets, or start with our bouquets under $150.

Step 4: A photo before it leaves the studio

Before your flowers go out the door, we send you a photo of the finished bouquet by email or SMS. You see what your recipient will see: the colors, the size, the wrapping.

That clip is our Honey bouquet, filmed right before it left the studio. The photo you get captures the same moment: your bouquet, finished and ready to go.

Step 5: Delivery in your window

We deliver the bouquet within the window you picked. Here’s how we handle the most common situations:

  • Nobody home: we contact the recipient in advance.
  • Apartments: we arrange with the recipient how to get in.
  • Surprise or anonymous gifts: we contact only you, the sender, and follow your instructions.
  • Houses with no instructions: we leave the flowers at the door in a safe, shaded place.
  • Hotels: add the guest’s full name as it appears on the reservation, plus the arrival date. We call the front desk ahead.
  • Hospitals: include the patient’s full name and room number. Sending to Cedars-Sinai? See Cedars-Sinai flower delivery.

After it arrives: helping it last

Our flowers usually look their best for 5–10 days. A little care goes a long way:

  • Trim the stems at an angle every couple of days.
  • Change the water regularly.
  • Keep the flowers out of direct sunlight.
  • Keep them away from ripening fruit.

Sending a wrapped bouquet to someone who may not own a vase? Add a clear glass cylinder vase (from $40), so it goes straight into water.

Send one of ours

That’s the whole path. You choose, our florist makes it by hand, you see a photo, and we bring it to the door. Order by noon for same-day flower delivery, or pick any date ahead. Start with our bouquets, or find something for a birthday or an anniversary.
